London Journalism Centre is a journalism school established by Jamie Elliott, a freelance investigative journalist who writes for the Guardian and Observer and is an experienced journalism teacher. Its mission is to help widen access to a career in the media by offering high quality journalism courses at an affordable price, journalism news, and internships for aspiring writers.
Courses developed and taught by media professionals
Our tutors are working journalists who have a background in editing, reporting and feature writing for news organisations including The Guardian / Observer, Independent, Times, Financial Times, BBC, and Channel 4. This means our journalism training courses are always in step with a fast changing media industry.
Journalism is socially important, as well as a fascinating and exciting career, and that is why we believe that courses should be as affordable as possible.
We maintain high standards, but keep our prices low, by investing in quality teaching whilst keeping other overheads to a minimum.
Our Dalston office is located in The Print House, just two minutes walk from Dalston Junction and Dalston Kingsland overground stations. London courses are taught at St Luke’s Centre, Central St, Clerkenwell, a short walk from Old Street, Barbican and Farringdon underground stations. Our Manchester courses take place at MadLab, Edge Street, a short walk from Manchester Piccadilly train station.
